Design project of a house with unusual paintings
If you are considering how to organically fit works of art into the interior of your own home, then this publication about the design project of one home ownership may be useful to you. Many original and unusual paintings skillfully fit into the design of the house, made in a mixture of modern and classic interior styles. Surprisingly, even within the framework of a utilitarian premise, works of modern art look difficultly appropriate, but also organically combine with the rest of the decor of bathrooms and bathrooms.
Having passed into the house, we find ourselves in a spacious hall, where the largest painting from the collection of artworks of the hosts is located. In order for the picture to look spectacular, you need to create the appropriate background - choose a neutral color palette, restrict yourself to the simplest models of lamps (if you want to provide your work with individual illumination in the dark). Depending on the size of the picture, it can be either wall lights or ceiling mounted lighting devices with rotary mechanisms. If the picture is enough to provide an acceptable background and lighting, then with sculptures of small shapes it is necessary to take care of decent stands, tables or other pieces of furniture that can be neutral enough not to "draw" attention to themselves, but at the same time they will look attractive and make up worthy accompaniment of the sculpture.
Next, we pass into a spacious room connecting the kitchen, dining room and living room with an open plan. With this arrangement of functional segments, a significant amount of usable space is saved, while maintaining a sense of spaciousness, freedom of movement. In this spacious room, the use of light yellow wall finishes and polished wooden planks for flooring continues. For such a bright and sunny space radiating heat, a little cold palette did not fit at all. The use of blue and gray shades for decorating an apron in the kitchen area, textile decor and carpet in the living room segment and the elegant implementation of the heavenly blue in the dining room.
Canteens
For a small dining area for four people, the original image on a modern work of art has become a highlight of the design. A round wooden table and chairs of an unusual shape made of similar material look very expressive in company with a picture with a cool palette.
In a more spacious dining room, designed for hosting guests and arranging dinner parties, both the furniture and the picture look different. The natural color of the wood of the spacious dining table and the black color of the chairs with backs are reflected in the design of the frame for a large picture. This work of art is highlighted by instruments attached directly to the subframe. The pastel palette of wall decoration has become a successful, neutral background for a decorative accent.
Living rooms
In continuation of the living room, which we saw earlier, there was an even more capacious segment of relaxation with upholstered furniture, a fireplace and a video zone. Despite the fact that all items of upholstered furniture have upholstery of different colors and textures, as a result, the composition looks very organic. This small circle of comfortable places for relaxation is connected by a large coffee table of the original model. For many homeowners and designers, the fireplace and the television set above it have become integral attributes of a comfortable and cozy living room - natural and technological relaxants have long gone hand in hand in many modern interiors. And, of course, wall decor - a small picture on a light background of accent wall cladding with wooden wall panels, looks expressive and impressive.
Another living room is decorated with no less coziness and comfort, attention to decor, textiles and an original selection of lighting fixtures. The chocolate color of the leather upholstery of the chairs, the textured textile of the sofa, the wicker rattan coffee table made up an organic and outwardly attractive ensemble. Light impregnations of light blue color in the decor, textiles and elements of lamps, not only brought color diversity to the interior of the living room, but also added it to the image of freshness and lightness.
The wall decoration in this living room has a darker color and quite pronounced texture, but this fact does not interfere with the artwork on the wall. The fact is that the picture itself is much darker than all the artwork that we met earlier in other rooms. The designers managed to very subtly draw parallels of color solutions found in the wall decor and embody these shades in the interior of the living room.
Bedrooms
Bright, spacious bedroom with pastel colors, actively decorated with paintings. Sand and beige shades in the design of the bedroom became an excellent background for bright paintings in dark frames. With such colorful artwork, the central element of the bedroom, a bed with a soft headboard and textile upholstery, even recedes into the background. In the spacious bedroom, in addition to the bed and the accompanying bedside tables with lamps, there was enough space for organizing a small sitting and reading area.
The interior of the second bedroom looks darker and more contrasty and all thanks to the original design of the large bed and its accompanying pieces of furniture - bedside tables and a spacious chest of drawers. A similar choice was dictated by the use of artwork using dark colors and black frames. Asian motifs in the interior are visible, both in the paintings and in some elements of decoration, furniture and decor of the bedroom. There was also a place to install a comfortable armchair with a metal frame and soft upholstery and a small table-stand with mirror surfaces.
The use of gray for decoration - the most neutral of all calm shades, allowed to create an atmosphere in which it is cozy and comfortable, easy to relax and enjoy a good sleep. Light silver shine of furniture elements, mirror surfaces and low tide on the curtains, gives the room a more modern appearance and adds some mystery to the image of the bedroom.
The sunny interior of the bright bedroom was literally created for bright and colorful paintings with a dark background. The light yellow hue of the walls and the warm, bright tone of the wooden surfaces look great together with the bright works, the golden frame of one of the paintings and the unusual color of the upholstery in the lounge area.
All bedrooms in the private house with a collection of paintings are equipped with small sitting and reading areas. And this room for sleeping and relaxing was no exception - a comfortable armchair and a small table-stand organized a cozy area near the window.
Bathrooms
There is nothing surprising in the fact that in the utilitarian rooms of the house, the owners of which are lovers of fine art, there was a place for paintings on the walls. For example, in this sandy-buffy bathroom, the paintings are designed in the appropriate color scheme. The decoration, which organically combines mosaic cladding and gluing the walls with waterproof wallpaper, has become an excellent backdrop for a couple of small artwork.
In the second bathroom, the interior has a slight bias towards Asian motifs in the design - to match the picture that adorns the wall of a utilitarian space. Asian motifs were reflected in the choice of color palette - calm, neutral tones that create a relaxing atmosphere. And also in the preferential choice of natural materials (or very successful imitations of them) for the execution of floor cladding and apron for the bathroom, storage systems with many drawers under the double sink.
Another small utilitarian space - a bathroom located in the attic, is decorated with no less taste. In this room, there are practically no surfaces exposed to frequent exposure to moisture, so finishing with moisture-proof wallpaper with a fine print turned out to be very appropriate. The combination of white, gray and wood shade created a harmonious and vernally attractive, but at the same time restrained alliance.
